So here we are.
Right now, this President Trump guy gets to sue the government. For terrible reasons. And we have to pay the settlement for him. With our tax dollars. Because he's got a government that he so thoroughly gutted and stacked with his own people that they'll let him have anything he wants.
Anything.
We are well and truly at a place in history where people need to support each other and build our own systems. We need to take care of each other. The infrastructure that used to do that? It's collapsing. It's becoming more predatory. It’s engineering situations where the rich can wield the government as a weapon against us and for their own enrichment.
Everyone's stressed out. Most of our finances are stretched to maximum. Life in America is becoming less fun and more stress. And we have less freedom than any time I've ever seen in my lifetime. I'm not exaggerating.
One of the first cultural steps to reform is for artists to call out the situation for what it is. That's it. Just name it. We could do it through physical media. Through writing. Through comedy. That's what these shows are about. We're trying to give it a voice….in person…not through the corporate media or social media run by algorithms and bots owned by our enslavers.
We're bringing together cultural critics from across the spectrum. Creating an immersive experience where people who see problems with our current system can feel acknowledged. Share ideas. Find others to connect with.
Please support what we're doing.
Come to the show. Contribute to the GoFundMe. We're gonna do some awesome things with the money that we make. And if you have ideas, please let us know. If you want to be part of it, please let us know. If you think what we're doing is great…absolutely please let us know.
We want to make this better and better. Every month.
This is RevellionFest. Come help us burn the old crap down and build something that actually feels good.
Is it just me? Do you feel like you've been ground up? Chewed, and spit out?
My own life this year looked like a miniature model of what's gone on in the US and the world - ignorant greed (be it in the form of private equity firms, grifters, or other such leeches) dismantled a functioning system (be it a codebase I've proudly worked on for decades or a nation I was proudly born to) and gleefully scrapped it. It's wasteful, it's shameful, and it leaves a whole lot of folks hanging... all just so a few rich unaccountable men can get even more rich and unaccountable.
The good news is, even with important things in ruin, there is now room and reason to rebuild.
There is a great deal which needs doing.
The biggest, richest few already offer their answer - just do everything through us! All your time, all your attention, all your money, just give it to us; our one-size-fits-all "solutions" will take care of everything. Our algorithms, which cannot experience your world, will describe your world for you.
A better answer has been right in front of us, in our own hands, all along. In fact, it IS our own hands.
When we make and do things ourselves, when we work with each other, when we strengthen our local communities - that's how we get the important work done. That's how our real needs get addressed. That's how we express and receive gratitude and appreciation. That's how we make human business human again.
We know we're better off living and buying and reading and talking locally. Now, it's time to live it.If, like me, you've been ground up in 2025, then let's make 2026 the year we build our own lives back. From the ground up. Together.
Our No Kings after-party show has come and gone, and it's time to share pictures!
Marty of Lava Submarine took lots of great photos, which you can view here.
I myself took some video, and I've shared a bunch of stills on the event's old promotional web address:

Just for fun, I'll also re-post a few right here:

Just wanted to make this available to all, so that you've got a better understanding of what is allowed or not, as well as to watch for each other out there. If you see ICE or anyone seeming to claim authority over civilians, it seems the best action is to film them and get the footage out for others to see. Please give it a read:
